View this wonderful video BELOW about Sally, the American Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Pit Bull) mascot of the 11th Pennsylvania Infantry. She saw action at the battles of Second Bull Run, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Cedar Mountain, and Petersburg. And she marched with the regiment in review before President Lincoln. She guarded her dead and wounded soldiers in battle until she was killed herself at Hatcher's Run, Virginia.
